The Yukon Zip Locker for Dana 60, part number YZLD60-4-35, is an air-operated selectable locker for Dana Spicer 60 axles with 35 spline shafts and 4.56 and up gearing.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 60 with 35 spline axles
- Ratio: 4.56 and up only. For 4.10 and lower with 35 spline, the part is YZLD60-3-35.
- This is a narrow case locker. If your differential has a wide housing, Yukon says to order two DS 42563 with the locker.
- Not compatible with c-clip axles
How it works
Run it as an open differential for normal driving, then switch to 100 percent lockup when you need it. Yukon lists it as ABS compatible and says it works with a variety of air delivery systems. It has a forged case and 8620 internals and is assembled in the USA.
What you need to run it
A Zip Locker needs an air supply, meaning an on-board air system or a compressor, plus a switch and solenoid to control it. Yukon's Zip Locker install kit, YZLIK-01, includes a switch, solenoid, bulkhead fitting and 20 feet of air line. Yukon's listing for this locker does not list those parts as included, so plan for them separately.
Check before you order
- Ratio must be 4.56 or higher.
- Axles must be 35 spline and not c-clip.
- Look at your housing to see whether it is a narrow or wide case.
Yukon's warranty page lists six years on Zip Lockers, with conditions. California Proposition 65 warning: this product can expose you to chemicals including arsenic, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer.
