The Yukon Zip Locker for Dana 44, part number YZLD44-4-30, is an air-operated selectable locker for Dana Spicer 44 axles with 30 spline shafts and 3.92 and up gearing.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 44 with 30 spline axles
- Ratio: 3.92 and up only. For 3.73 and lower the part is YZLD44-3-30.
- Drilled for 7/16-inch ring gear bolts. If your ring gear uses 3/8-inch bolts, Yukon says to add a quantity of 10 of part number YSPBLT-027 to sleeve them.

How it works
It runs as an open differential until you switch it, then locks 100 percent on demand. Yukon builds it with a forged case and 8620 internals, says it works with a variety of air delivery systems, and assembles it in the USA.
Air supply and controls
The locker needs an on-board air system or compressor, along with a solenoid and switch to control it. Yukon's install kit YZLIK-01 contains a switch, solenoid, bulkhead fitting and 20 feet of air line. Those parts are not listed as part of this locker.
Check before you order
- Confirm your ring gear ratio is 3.92 or numerically higher.
- Confirm 30 spline axle shafts.
- Check your ring gear bolt size: 7/16-inch fits as is, 3/8-inch needs the sleeves.
