The Yukon Zip Locker for Dana 44, part number YZLD44-3-30, is an air-operated selectable locker for Dana Spicer 44 axles with 30 spline shafts and 3.73 and down gearing.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 44 with 30 spline axles
- Ratio: 3.73 and down only, the 3-series carrier. For 3.92 and up, the part is YZLD44-4-30.
- Drilled for 7/16-inch ring gear bolts. For 3/8-inch bolts, Yukon says to buy a quantity of 10 of YSPBLT-027 to sleeve them.

How it works
An open differential until you flip the switch, then 100 percent lockup on demand. Yukon builds it with a forged case and 8620 internals, says it works with a variety of air delivery systems, and assembles it in the USA.
Air supply and controls
You need an on-board air system or compressor to run a Zip Locker, plus a switch and solenoid. Yukon's install kit YZLIK-01 has a switch, solenoid, bulkhead fitting and 20 feet of air line. Yukon does not list those as part of the locker.

- Ring gear ratio at 3.73 or numerically lower.
- Axle shafts 30 spline.
- Ring gear bolts 7/16-inch, or plan on the sleeves.
