This is the Yukon 4.88 ring and pinion set, YG D44RS-488RUB, for the front Dana 44 in 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon models. It is a reverse rotation, short pinion, 24-spline set.

4.88 is the fourth of the six ratios Yukon lists for this axle (3.73 through 5.38) and gives more gear reduction than 4.11.

Check before you order

• This set is for the Rubicon front axle. The rear Dana 44 in the JK takes a different Yukon set (the D44JK series), so do not order this one for the rear.
• Front and rear axles need the same ratio. If the rear is already geared, match it to 4.88 or plan to change both.
• Confirm you have the Rubicon front Dana 44 before ordering, and that you are replacing a reverse rotation short pinion set.
