This is the Yukon Grizzly Locker for Dana 60 axles with 40 spline shafts and 4.56 and up gearing, part number YGLD60-4-40.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 60 with 40 spline axle shafts only
- Ratio: 4.56 and up only. That is the 4-series carrier. For 4.10 and lower gearing you need the 3-series version, YGLD60-3-40.
- Not compatible with c-clip axles
How it works
The Grizzly is a mechanical, positive-locking differential. Both tires get 100 percent of the power, and it can disengage while you negotiate turns. There is no air line, wiring or switch to install.
Construction
It has a forged case and 8620 internals. The inner clutch teeth have a larger radius at the base, and Yukon says that design is up to 350 percent stronger than back-cut designs and resists breakage from shock loading or a sudden axle failure. Yukon pitches it for rock crawling, trail running, off-road racing and drag racing, and it is assembled in the USA.
Check before you order
- Confirm your ring gear ratio is 4.56 or numerically higher.
- Count the splines on your axle shafts. This part is for 40 spline only.
- Make sure your axles are not the c-clip type.
- This listing is for the locker itself. Yukon install kits are sold separately.
