This is the Yukon Grizzly Locker for Dana 60 axles with 40 spline shafts and 4.10 and down gearing, part number YGLD60-3-40.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 60 with 40 spline axle shafts
- Ratio: 4.10 and down only, the 3-series carrier. For 4.56 and higher gearing with 40 spline, use YGLD60-4-40.
- Not compatible with c-clip axles
How it works
The Grizzly is a mechanical, positive-locking differential that puts 100 percent of the power to both tires and can disengage when you turn. It does not need air, wiring or a switch.
Construction
Yukon builds it with a forged case and 8620 internals. The clutch teeth use a larger radius at the base, which Yukon says makes them up to 350 percent stronger than back-cut designs and helps the locker hold up to shock loading and catastrophic axle failure. Assembled in the USA.
Check before you order
- Your ring gear ratio has to be 4.10 or numerically lower. On 4.56 or higher, this carrier is the wrong one.
- Your axle shafts have to be 40 spline.
- C-clip axles are not supported.
- The listing is for the locker only, and Yukon install kits are sold separately.
