This is the Yukon Grizzly Locker for Dana 44 with 30 spline axles and 3.73 and down gearing, part number YGLD44-3-30.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 44 with 30 spline axles
- Ratio: 3.73 and down only, the 3-series carrier. For 3.92 and up use YGLD44-4-30.
- Drilled for 7/16-inch ring gear bolts. If you have 3/8-inch bolts, Yukon says to buy a quantity of 10 of part number YSPBLT-027 to sleeve them.
- Not the JK Wrangler part. See YGLD44-3-30-JK for the non-Rubicon JK rear.
How it works
It is a mechanical, positive-locking differential. Both tires get 100 percent of the power, and it can disengage while you negotiate turns. There is no air line or wiring.
Construction
Yukon uses a forged case and 8620 internals. The inner clutch teeth have a larger radius at the base, which Yukon says makes them up to 350 percent stronger than back-cut designs and helps the locker resist shock loading. Assembled in the USA, and intended for crawling, trail running, off-road racing and drag racing.
