The Strange Engineering Pro Series Lightweight Steel Spool for Dana 60 is machined from 8620 forged steel and lightened to reduce rotating weight, making it one of the strongest and lightest steel spool options available for the Dana 60 and Strange S60 rear end platforms. Designed for 40 spline axles with 3 series carrier gear sets. Weighs 12.05 lbs.

Fits OEM Dana 60 and Strange S60 axle housings. Requires a gear set designed for a 3 series carrier and 3.150" or 3.350" ID aftermarket housing ends.

Key features include a broached 40 spline bore with 45° pressure angle, critical dimensions left oversize prior to heat treatment, finish machining after heat treat to bring all surfaces within specification, and a design and machining process completed entirely by Strange Engineering. Forged in the USA.
