Installation note upfront: The Savvy Legacy front bumper requires trimming the front frame plates for proper fitment and to achieve the full clearance geometry. The winch plate can be bolted or welded your choice at install time. Winch and shackles shown in product images are not included and must be purchased separately. (See instructions below)
At just 8 lbs for the aluminum skin, the Savvy Offroad Legacy 6061 Aluminum Front Bumper With Hoop is the lightest front bumper skin in Savvy's lineup and it carries the strongest aluminum alloy available in any Jeep front bumper on the market. Built from 3/16" 6061 aluminum heat-treated, precipitation-hardened, approximately 35% higher tensile strength and nearly double the yield strength of the 5052 aluminum used in the Krawler Lite the Legacy skin delivers more impact resistance in less weight than any competing design. The bolt-on front hoop guards your grille, radiator, and auxiliary lighting from rocks, brush, and trail debris. The 3/16" steel winch plate supports every major winch brand. The centered D-ring mounts eliminate yaw during recovery. And the modular replaceable skin means trail damage costs you a skin not a bumper. This Jeep JL/JLU/JT front bumper with hoop improves approach angle, airflow, and trail protection without unnecessary front-end weight, race-proven, and built in the USA.

A lot of companies post trail pics. Not many can post finish line pics. Savvy can.
When we say these bumpers were born from racing, we mean it literally. Savvy has stacked more finishes, wins, and championships than any other brand in the armor game proven at the races where equipment either holds or fails in front of everyone watching:
If it holds up there, the trails we all wheel on feel easy.
We don't build once and walk away. We keep improving because the trails, the speeds, and the drivers keep pushing the limits. Every refinement in the Legacy line came from breaking something, analyzing why, and building the next version better. That cycle does not stop because the racing does not stop.
Both the Legacy and Krawler Lite with-hoop front bumpers use a 3/16" steel winch plate, the same centered D-ring recovery mounts, the same Factor 55 fairlead cutout, the same protective front hoop, and the same modular replaceable skin design. The difference is in the aluminum alloy, the skin weight, and the clearance the Legacy skin offers.
The Krawler Lite with hoop uses 5052 aluminum. Skin weight: 10.5 lbs. Installs without frame modification using factory mounting points.
The Legacy with hoop uses 6061 aluminum: heat-treated structural alloy with approximately 35% higher tensile strength and nearly double the yield strength of 5052. Skin weight: 8 lbs. Requires trimming the front frame plates. Winch plate bolts or welds on, your choice.
Both versions of the Legacy front bumper use the same 8 lb 6061 aluminum skin, the same 3/16" steel winch plate, the same centered D-ring mounts, the same Factor 55 fairlead cutout, the same modular replaceable skin system, and the same bolt-or-weld winch plate choice. Both require front frame plate trimming. The difference is entirely in the upper tube.
Choose the hoop version if you want the upper tube to guard your winch, grille, radiator, and front-mounted auxiliary lights from rocks, brush, and trail debris or if you prefer the more aggressive, trail-ready aesthetic the protective hoop provides. The hoop bolts on, meaning it can be removed later if your build preferences change.
Choose the no-hoop version if you want maximum airflow openness, total flexibility in auxiliary lighting placement, a cleaner minimal front profile. See the Savvy Legacy 6061 Front Bumper Without Hoop for that configuration.
Many Jeep JL/JLU/JT front bumpers with hoop add unnecessary bulk, reduce airflow, or make trail damage expensive to fix. The Savvy Legacy front bumper with hoop is designed to deliver better clearance, lighter weight, strong recovery capability, winch compatibility, hoop protection, and modular repairability in one clean off-road setup.
For Jeep owners looking for a Jeep JL front bumper with hoop, Jeep JLU front bumper with hoop, or Jeep Gladiator JT front bumper with hoop that improves approach angle, reduces front-end weight, and still offers strong recovery and winch functionality, this design provides a strong balance of clearance, durability, serviceability, and aggressive styling. It is an ideal upgrade for rock crawlers, overland builds, trail rigs, and well-built daily-driven Jeeps.
Yes. The Legacy front bumper requires trimming the front frame plates for proper fitment and to achieve the full clearance geometry. Full installation instructions are included. For a no-modification bolt-on front bumper with hoop, see the Savvy Krawler Lite front bumper with hoop for the JL, JLU, and JT. (See instructions below)
Both options are available the winch plate can be bolted for a strong, removable installation or welded for a permanent maximum-strength connection. You decide at install time. No other front bumper in this category gives you that choice built in.
Yes. The front hoop is a bolt-on component. If your build preferences change and you prefer the no-hoop configuration later, the hoop can be removed. The bumper skin, winch plate, and all hardware remain in place.
The bottom of the hoop sits 6.7 inches above the top of the bumper skin. Popular light options that fit include: Baja Designs: LP4 lights and smaller models. Rigid Industries: 6-inch round or XP lights and smaller models. 20-inch light bars.
6061 is heat-treated and precipitation-hardened, giving it approximately 35% higher tensile strength and nearly double the yield strength of 5052. It is harder, more impact resistant, and handles direct rock contact better on a front bumper that takes the first hit on every approach. The Krawler Lite uses 5052 excellent for its bolt-on application. The Legacy uses 6061 because it is the strongest aluminum alloy that makes sense in a bumper skin stronger per pound than 5052, and stronger per pound than mild steel.
Three things. First, the Legacy uses 6061 aluminum versus the Krawler Lite's 5052. Second, the Legacy skin is higher clearance. Third, the Legacy requires front frame plate trimming, the Krawler Lite is bolt-on with no modification required.
Yes. The Legacy with-hoop front bumper fits the 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU and the 2020–2026 Jeep Gladiator JT using the same design.
No. Winch, shackles, and fairlead shown in product images are not included and must be purchased separately.
Raw aluminum & raw steel. Powder coat or paint to your preferred color. 6061 can also be left unfinished it does not rust in raw condition.
