Why this system
- Adjustable arms, 95 degrees of misalignment: The X Factor adjustable upper and lower arms are rated for a total of 95 degrees of misalignment when paired with Pro-X Krawler joints at the axle and Adventure Series joints at the frame, which cuts the bind you get from the factory JL arms. The adjustability lets you tune caster and pinion angle front and rear.
- Maintenance-free joints: Adventure Series joints at the frame and Pro-X Krawler joints at the axle, so no grease gun on the trail.
- Triple-rate coils: Four coils tuned for the application. Rock Krawler says they ride better on the street than the factory linear-rate springs, and they carry enough free length to stay seated when the axle droops, as long as you run a proper length shock.
- Spring correction pads: These take the coil bow out of the factory setup and help with vehicle lean.
- Track bar geometry: The front track bar and the rear track bar correction center both axles, and the rear roll center improves.
- Level stance: Rock Krawler's stated goal is a Jeep that sits level on all four corners.
- Upgrade path: These kits are upgradable to Rock Krawler's long-arm system later, so you are not boxed in.
- Warranty: Rock Krawler lists lifetime warranty coverage on the kit.
Pick your package
- Base System (No Shocks): The complete kit with no shocks. Bump stops are not included on this option (Rock Krawler sells them separately). Pick it if you already have shocks picked out. Whatever you run, it needs to be a proper length so the coil stays seated.
- Bilstein 5100 Shocks: The kit plus a set of maintenance-free Bilstein 5100 shocks, which Rock Krawler describes as a good pairing with its multi-rate coils. Bump stops are included.
- Stage 1 - RRD 2.25 IFP Shocks: The kit plus Rock Krawler's in-house RRD 2.25 inch IFP shocks. The body is hard-anodized aluminum with the cooling surface of a 2.5 inch shock, the shaft is 3/4 inch 17-4 PH stainless, and the valving is billet aluminum with dual DU shaft bearings. They are serviceable, rebuildable and revalvable. Bump stops are included.
Fitment and what else you will need
- Vehicle: 2018 to present Jeep Wrangler JL 2-door, 4WD. Rock Krawler lists the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder, the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and the 3.6L Pentastar with eTorque, all 4WD gas.
- Tires and wheels: Sport and Sahara, 37/38 inch tires with 3.5 inch backspacing (37 inch on full OEM fenders, 38 inch on trimmed or high-lined fenders). Rubicon, 37 inch tires with 4.5 inch backspacing or 40 inch tires with 3.5 inch (37/38 inch on full OEM fenders, 40 inch on trimmed or high-lined fenders). A 3 inch bump stop height is recommended for all of them.
- Lift height basis: Rock Krawler measures lift on a Rubicon with a front bumper and winch, a rear bumper and a full-size spare. If you delete the spare, drop the rear coil lift height by 1 inch. If the rear is heavily built up (overland gear), raise it by 1 inch.
- Driveshaft: Rock Krawler recommends a new front driveshaft if you off-road regularly.
- Welding: Rock Krawler recommends welding the rear cradle for 37 inch tires and larger.
