The Advance Adapters JL 850RE 8-Speed to Atlas Adapter (SKU 50-9900) is built for the 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL running the 850RE 8-speed automatic — the transmission paired with both the 3.6L V6 and the 2.0L turbo four-cylinder. This is the gas-engine version of the 850RE swap; the JL diesel uses a different adapter (SKU 50-9904) for the same transmission family.
The kit bolts to the rear of the stock transmission and converts the factory bolt pattern to a circular 6-bolt pattern with a 23-spline output — the interface needed to mate an Atlas transfer case to the 850RE. The same part number also covers the Dodge 8HP870 8-speed, which shares the same transmission architecture.
