An 8-inch double-ended ram with a 2.25-inch bore, one of the rams Howe lists for both its standard and hi-volume full hydraulic systems. Eight inches is a typical steering movement for straight axles, according to Howe.
- Bore: 2.25 inches
- Size: 8
- Double-ended
- System: standard and hi-volume
Full hydraulic steering has no mechanical link between the wheel and the axle, so the ram has to match your axle. Howe's advice is to measure how far the axle travels side to side, pick the ram first, then the pump, and make sure the ram stops at the same moment the axle does.
Howe Performance part number 425.
