This is the Yukon Grizzly Locker replacement for Dana 44 differentials, part number YGLD44-4-30, built for 30 spline axles and 3.92 and up gearing.
Fitment
- Dana Spicer 44 with 30 spline axles
- Ratio: 3.92 and up only, the 4-series carrier. For 3.73 and lower, use YGLD44-3-30.
- Drilled for 7/16-inch ring gear bolts. If yours are 3/8-inch, Yukon says to add a quantity of 10 of part number YSPBLT-027 to sleeve them.
- It will not work with early tapered axle designs that used an axle spacer button.
- Not the JK Wrangler part. Yukon lists separate JK lockers, such as YGLD44-3-30-JK for the non-Rubicon rear.
How it works
The Grizzly is a mechanical, positive-locking differential. It gives both tires 100 percent of the power and can disengage while you turn, with no air or wiring to hook up.
Construction
Forged case, 8620 internals, and a tooth design where the clutch teeth have a larger radius at the base. Yukon says that is up to 350 percent stronger than back-cut designs. Assembled in the USA.
Check before you order
- Ring gear ratio of 3.92 or higher.
- 30 spline axle shafts, not the early tapered spacer-button style.
- Ring gear bolt size, 7/16-inch or 3/8-inch.
