The Advance Adapters 6R140/10R140 4x4 to Atlas Adapter (P/N 50-6140) mates the Ford 6R140 automatic transmission — found behind the 6.7L diesel and 6.2L gas engines — to an Atlas G2 transfer case, in the transmission's standard 4WD output length. Ford's 10R140, sharing the same bolt pattern and output spline as the 6R140, is compatible with this same adapter kit.
This is the standard-length version in the 6R140/10R140 Atlas lineup — the counterpart 50-6141 kit adds a spud shaft to extend the 4WD output to match the 2WD length (50-6142), which some builds may need depending on driveline layout. For the 10R140 specifically, its slightly longer output shaft calls for adding the AS-8610 spacer (0.5" thick) to get proper Atlas engagement.
The kit uses factory bolts to fasten the adapter to the transmission, with the bolt at the 6 o'clock position flagged as one worth double-checking during install.
