The 4.5 inch X Factor X2 long-arm system for the Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door uses an independent 3-link design at both ends. Up front it is a 3-link layout with larger-than-factory hardware, a double-adjustable upper arm and a wider-than-factory axle mount, and the rear gets X2 geometry with enhanced instant center and roll center. Rock Krawler calls it the ultimate compromise between daily driver and hard-core off-roader.
It also comes as a Comp System with 2 5/8 inch RRD racing coilovers up front and matching remote reservoir shocks in the rear, for owners who want coilover adjustability but still need to carry small loads or tow small trailers. Rock Krawler bases its lift heights on Rubicon models in a standard build, meaning a front bumper and winch, a rear bumper and a full-size spare.

Pick your package
- Base System (No Shocks): the full kit with no shocks, for builds where you already have shocks picked out.
- Stage 1 (RRD 2.25 Inch IFP Shocks): Rock Krawler's in-house shock with a 2.25 inch O.D. hard anodized fluted aluminum body, a 3/4 inch 17-4 PH stainless steel hard chrome plated shaft, a billet aluminum valve circuit, dual DU shaft bearings and double redundant sealing. It is serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable.
- Stage 2 (RRD 2.25 Inch FCD Shocks): Everything in the IFP shock plus a Fast Compression Damping (FCD) adjuster, up to a 30 percent increase, so you can fine-tune ride quality and handling.
- Comp System Stage 1 (Coilovers): front 2.625 inch RRD remote reservoir coilovers with 12 inch of shock travel, which Rock Krawler says yields 13.88 inch of front axle travel, plus matching 2.625 inch RRD remote reservoir rear shocks with 10.5 inch of travel for 12.1 inch of rear axle travel.
- Comp System Stage 2 (Coilovers, Fast CD): the same coilover and rear shock layout with Fast CD (compression damping) adjusters on the coilovers and rear shocks for more tuneability.
Rock Krawler's generic shock lengths for this system are front 18.5 inch collapsed and 29 inch maximum extended and rear 17.3 inch collapsed and 28.31 inch maximum extended, which is handy if you plan to shop for your own shocks.
Fitment and what else you'll need
Fits 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door models. Rock Krawler lists it for Sport, Sahara, Willys and Rubicon trim levels.
- If building with a spare delete we recommend dropping 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
- If building an overland or heavily up-fitted build in the back, we recommend upsizing 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
- We recommend a new front driveshaft if you plan to off-road routinely. (Adam's Driveshaft, Tom Woods, J.E. Reel)
- Requires removal of: OEM frame side front and rear lower control arm mounts; OEM frame side front and rear upper control arm mounts; OEM axle side front upper control arm mount; OEM rear axle side brackets; OEM frame side rear shock mount.
- Requires welding of: front and rear frame side long-arm mounts; provided rear axle side control arm/shock/sway bar link bracket, track bar bracket and rear axle truss; provided frame side rear shock mount.
- Minor exhaust rerouting required before the collector on the driver's side. This is recommended to be done prior to the suspension system being installed.
- Rear shocks will require a standard bushing and sleeve just like the rear lower shock bushing and sleeve. We have removed the weakness of the bar pin setup with the supplied rear upper shock mounts.
- Recommend installing limiting straps to avoid over extension of suspension components after vehicle is all set up.
- Coilover packages: requires modifying the OEM front & rear shock mounts and welding of the raised upper shock mounts.
Tire guidance from Rock Krawler: 33 or 35 inch tall tires with full OEM fenders, 37 inch tall tires with flat fenders. They typically recommend 4.5 inch of backspacing with 33 and 35 inch tires and 3.5 inch with 37 inch tires.
Rock Krawler backs this system with lifetime warranty coverage.
