Rock Krawler 4.5 Inch X-Factor Pro Elite No Limits Mid-Arm Lift Kit - Jeep Wrangler JL
JL45PENL-2
Pro Elite is the billet-lower version of the X-Factor Pro mid-arm design, and this one is the No Limits version for the Rubicon Wrangler JL (2-door). The lower control arms are what Rock Krawler calls its signature PB+J (Pure Beef and Jealousy) mid-arms, machined from 2 x 3 inch billet 7075 aluminum. The other four arms are machined from round 7075 aluminum and carry the same X-Factor benefits.
Everything else follows the X-Factor playbook: 95 degrees of misalignment with Pro Krawler joints at the axle and Adventure Series joints at the frame, and "No Limits" front sway bar end links that pair with the factory Rubicon E-Disconnect for bind-free travel in rough terrain.
What's in the kit
The base kit, as Rock Krawler lists it:
- (2) front and (2) rear billet 7075 aluminum adjustable lower control arms (PB+J mid-arms, machined from 2 x 3 inch billet)
- (2) front and (2) rear 7075 aluminum adjustable upper control arms (round 7075 aluminum)
- (4) triple-rate coil springs
- (1) adjustable front track bar and (1) rear adjustable track bar
- (2) "No Limits" sway bar links
- (2) adjustable rear sway bar links
- (1) bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket
- Bump stops with every shock option (not included with the base system)
The coilover packages (Comp) swap in front shock towers and brackets, and keep two rear triple-rate coil springs with rear spring correction seats.
Why this system
- Billet PB+J lowers. Four lower arms machined from 2 x 3 inch billet 7075 aluminum.
- Round 7075 uppers. The other four arms are machined from round 7075 aluminum.
- 95 degrees of misalignment. Less bind than a factory JL arm, with all arms adjustable for caster and pinion angle.
- Maintenance-free joints. Adventure Series joints at the frame, Pro Krawler joints at the axle.
- "No Limits" links. Built for the factory electronic sway bar disconnect.
- Triple-rate coils. Tuned for on-road comfort that Rock Krawler says beats factory linear-rate springs.
- Dial-in axle position. Adjustable front and rear track bars plus a bolt-on rear relocation bracket.
Pick your package
The Package option sets the shocks.
- Base System (No Shocks). Kit only, for buyers who already have shocks picked out. Bump stops ship with every shock option; with no shocks they are sold separately (Rock Krawler lists them as RK07124). Generic shock lengths for the gas kits: front 18.31 inches collapsed and 30.31 extended, rear 19 collapsed and 31 extended.
- Bilstein 5100 Shocks. Maintenance-free shocks that Rock Krawler calls a great pairing with its multi-rate coil springs.
- Stage 1 Shocks (RRD 2.25 IFP). Rock Krawler's in-house shocks: a 2.25 inch hard anodized fluted aluminum body with the cooling surface area of a 2.5 inch shock, a 3/4 inch hard chrome stainless shaft and dual DU shaft bearings. Serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable.
- Comp Coilover Stage 1 and Stage 2. The Comp System runs 2 5/8 inch RRD racing coilovers with remote reservoirs up front and matching 2 5/8 inch RRD shocks with remote reservoirs in the rear, with coil springs still holding up the back, so it can still carry small loads or tow a small trailer. Stage 2 adds Fast CD (compression damping) adjusters. Rock Krawler lists 14.4 inches of front axle travel and 13.9 inches of rear axle travel.
Fitment and what else you'll need
- Fits 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL 2-door models, Rubicon, gas.
- Rock Krawler's tire guidance for Rubicon models: 37 or 38 inch tires with full OEM fenders, and 40 inch tires with trimmed or high-lined fenders, both at a 3 inch bump stop height. Recommended backspacing is 4.5 inches for 37s and 3.5 inches for 40s.
- Lift heights are based on a standard Rubicon build (front bumper and winch, rear bumper and full-size spare). Rock Krawler suggests dropping 1 inch of rear coil lift if you delete the spare, and going up 1 inch if you load the back for an overland-style build.
- A new front driveshaft is recommended if you wheel the Jeep routinely, and Rock Krawler recommends welding the rear cradle with 37 inch tires or larger.
- The coilover packages need fabrication: the listing calls for removing the factory shock mount on the frame and the shock and spring mount on the axle, and welding the new coilover mount to the axle.
Rock Krawler lists lifetime warranty coverage on the system itself, and its RRD shocks carry a separate 6 month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
