The Adventure-X No Limits system is Rock Krawler's bolt-in 4.5 inch mid-arm kit for the Rubicon Wrangler JLU (4-door). "No Limits" is about the sway bar: the front links are made to work with the factory electronic sway bar disconnect, so the button on your dash keeps doing its job after the lift. They use factory-sized hardware, a CNC machined billet aluminum center section and Made in USA heim joints from FK Bearing.

The "Adventure-X" part is eight adjustable control arms, every one with 100% service-free Adventure Series joints. Rock Krawler pitches the whole package as the best articulation of any mid-arm kit on the market, and it is a complete system, not a parts-bin start.

What's in the kit

The base kit, as Rock Krawler lists it:

  • (2) front and (2) rear adjustable high clearance lower control arms
  • (2) front and (2) rear adjustable upper control arms
  • (4) triple-rate coil springs and (2) front, (2) rear spring pads
  • (1) adjustable front track bar
  • (2) "No Limits" front sway bar links
  • (2) adjustable rear sway bar links
  • (1) bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket
  • Bump stops with every shock option (not included with the base system)

The coilover packages (Comp) swap in front shock towers and brackets, and keep two rear triple-rate coil springs with rear spring correction seats.

Why this system

  • Sway bar disconnect still works. The "No Limits" front links are built around the Rubicon's factory electronic disconnect, so you press the button and hit the rocks.
  • Eight adjustable arms. Adjustable upper and lower arms let you tune caster and pinion angle front and rear.
  • Service-free joints. Adventure Series joints in every arm never need greasing.
  • 70 degrees of misalignment. Adventure Series joints at the frame and at the axle take most of the factory control arm bind out of the picture.
  • Triple-rate coils with correction pads. The coils are tuned for comfort on the highway, and the pads reduce the spring bow inherent in the factory setup.
  • Axles that sit right. Front and rear track bar geometry corrections center the axles, so you give up nothing in on-road handling.
  • Upgrade path. Rock Krawler lists the system as upgradable to its long arm system.

Pick your package

The Package option sets the shocks. The Configuration option matches the kit to your drivetrain.

  • Base System (No Shocks). Kit only, for buyers who already have shocks picked out. Bump stops ship with every shock option; with no shocks they are sold separately (Rock Krawler lists them as RK07124). Generic shock lengths for the gas, diesel and 4xe kits: front 18.31 inches collapsed and 30.31 extended, rear 19 collapsed and 31 extended.
  • Bilstein 5100 Shocks. Maintenance-free shocks that Rock Krawler calls a great pairing with its multi-rate coil springs.
  • Stage 1 Shocks (RRD 2.25 IFP). Rock Krawler's in-house shocks: a 2.25 inch hard anodized fluted aluminum body with the cooling surface area of a 2.5 inch shock, a 3/4 inch hard chrome stainless shaft and dual DU shaft bearings. Serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable.
  • Comp Coilover Stage 1 and Stage 2. The Comp System runs 2 5/8 inch RRD racing coilovers with remote reservoirs up front and matching 2 5/8 inch RRD shocks with remote reservoirs in the rear, with coil springs still holding up the back, so it can still carry small loads or tow a small trailer. Stage 2 adds Fast CD (compression damping) adjusters. Rock Krawler lists 14.4 inches of front axle travel and 13.9 inches of rear axle travel.

Fitment and what else you'll need

  • Fits 2018 and newer Jeep Wrangler JLU 4-door models, Rubicon. Choose the Configuration that matches your Jeep: gas, diesel, 4xe, 392.
  • 392 kits: Rock Krawler notes that JLU 392 lift heights sit above Jeep's factory lifts, so ride height ends up about 1 inch taller than a same-lift V6 Wrangler Rubicon.
  • Rock Krawler's tire guidance for Rubicon models: 37 or 38 inch tires with full OEM fenders, and 40 inch tires with trimmed or high-lined fenders, both at a 3 inch bump stop height. Recommended backspacing is 4.5 inches for 37s and 3.5 inches for 40s.
  • Lift heights are based on a standard Rubicon build (front bumper and winch, rear bumper and full-size spare). Rock Krawler suggests dropping 1 inch of rear coil lift if you delete the spare, and going up 1 inch if you load the back for an overland-style build.
  • A new front driveshaft is recommended if you wheel the Jeep routinely.
  • The coilover packages need fabrication: the listing calls for removing the factory shock mount on the frame and the shock and spring mount on the axle, and welding the new coilover mount to the axle.

Rock Krawler lists lifetime warranty coverage on the system itself, and its RRD shocks carry a separate 6 month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
