Package

Adventure-X Pro takes the Adventure-X mid-arm kit and adds a triangulated rear. Instead of leaning on a rear track bar, the bolt-in triangulated upper control arms keep the rear axle centered, which Rock Krawler says smooths out the highway ride. It is built for Sport, Overland and Mojave Gladiators, comes with eight adjustable arms with service-free Adventure Series joints, and gives you a 3 inch lift.

What is in the kit

  • 4 coil springs: triple-rate in the front, quad-rate in the rear
  • 2 front adjustable high clearance lower control arms and 2 front adjustable upper control arms
  • 2 rear adjustable high clearance lower control arms and 2 rear adjustable upper control arms
  • Front and rear spring pads
  • Adjustable front track bar
  • 2 GEN-II front sway bar links and 2 adjustable rear sway bar links
  • Bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket
  • Rear bolt-on Pro-X cradle (welding is optional)

Shocks depend on the package you pick below. The coilover packages also include shock towers and brackets, plus rear quad-rate coil springs and spring correction seats in the Comp System.

Why this system

  • The Pro part is the rear bolt-in triangulated upper control arms. The triangulated 4-link rear keeps the axle centered, allows removal of the rear track bar, gets rid of rear suspension bind and cuts the cross-talk between the front and rear track bars.
  • Adventure Series joints at the frame and axle give about 70 degrees of total misalignment, and every arm is adjustable.
  • Tune caster and pinion angle front and rear.
  • Triple-rate front and quad-rate rear coils, with spring correction pads.
  • Bolt-in install with an upgrade path to Rock Krawler's long-arm system.
  • Service-free joints, so no grease points to chase.

Pick your package

This system is listed for gas models. Choose how you want to handle shocks.

  • Base System (No Shocks). The full kit minus shocks, for anyone who already has a shock setup picked out. Bump stops ship with every shock package, so here they are a separate buy (Rock Krawler part RK07464). Rock Krawler's generic shock lengths: front 17.5 inches collapsed and 29.5 extended, rear 17 collapsed and 28 extended.
  • Bilstein 5100 Shocks. Rock Krawler pairs these with its multi-rate coils. Maintenance free, bump stops included.
  • Stage 1 (RRD 2.25 IFP Shocks). Rock Krawler's own RRD 2.25 inch IFP shocks, built in-house: hard anodized fluted aluminum body, 3/4 inch 17-4 PH stainless shaft, billet aluminum valving and dual DU shaft bearings. Serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable. Bump stops included.
  • Comp System. Coilovers up front, coil springs still in the rear. It uses 2 5/8 inch RRD racing coilovers with remote reservoirs in the front and matching 2 5/8 inch RRD shocks with remote reservoirs in the rear, good for 13.3 inches of front axle travel and 13.1 inches of rear axle travel. Rock Krawler points this one at people who still carry small loads or tow small trailers.
  • Comp System with Fast CD Adjusters. Same layout as the Comp System, with Fast CD (compression dampening) adjusters on the front coilovers and rear shocks for more tuning.
  • Trail Runner System. Coilovers at all four corners, with 13.3 inches of front axle travel and 13.75 inches in the rear. Rock Krawler notes rear coilovers do not handle changing loads well, so towing or hauling a lot of weight in the bed is not ideal.
  • Trail Runner System with Fast CD Adjusters. The Trail Runner layout with Fast CD (compression dampening) adjusters added to the coilovers.

Coilover packages need some fabrication. Rock Krawler lists removing the factory shock mount on the frame, removing the factory shock and spring mount on the axle, and welding the new coilover mount to the axle.

Fitment and what else you will need

  • Fits the 2020+ Jeep Gladiator JT, 4-door, 4WD, Sport, Overland and Mojave trim. Engine: gas (3.6L Pentastar V6).
  • Lift heights are based on a Rubicon with a standard build (front bumper and winch, rear bumper and full-size spare). With a spare delete, drop 1 inch of rear coil lift height; with a heavily up-fitted or overland-style rear, go up 1 inch.
  • Wheels and tires: on Sport and Overland, 3.5 inches of backspacing, with 37 inch tires under full fenders or 38 inch with trimmed or high-lined fenders. On Mojave, 4.5 inches of backspacing for 37 inch tires and 3.5 inches for 40 inch tires (37 or 38 inch under full fenders, 40 inch trimmed). A 3 inch bump stop height is recommended.
  • Rock Krawler recommends a new front driveshaft if you plan to off-road routinely (it names Adam's Driveshaft, Tom Woods and J.E. Reel).
  • Rock Krawler recommends welding the rear cradle if you run 37 inch tires or larger.
  • A Pro-X cradle is also sold separately for Dynatrac XD60 rear axles (RK08078) and Ultimate Dana 60 rear axles (RK08068).

Rock Krawler lists lifetime warranty coverage on this system, and lead times of about 1 to 2 weeks on mid-arm kits, counted in business days from the order date.
