The 4.5 inch Adventure-X is Rock Krawler's bolt-in mid-arm kit for the Jeep Wrangler JKU 4-Door, named for the eight adjustable control arms that come in the box. Every arm carries Rock Krawler's service-free Adventure Series joints, and together they give 70 degrees of total misalignment, so the bind you get from factory-style arms is greatly reduced. With all eight arms adjustable, you can tune caster and pinion angle front and rear.

Rock Krawler bases its lift heights on Rubicon models in a standard build, meaning a front bumper and winch, a rear bumper and a full-size spare.

What's in the kit

  • 4 x triple-rate coil springs
  • 2 x front high clearance adjustable lower control arms
  • 2 x front adjustable upper control arms
  • 1 x adjustable front track bar
  • 2 x quick disconnect front sway bar links
  • 2 x rear high clearance adjustable lower control arms
  • 2 x rear adjustable upper control arms
  • 2 x rear spring pads
  • 2 x adjustable rear sway bar links
  • 1 x bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket
  • 1 x front and rear extended brake line kit
  • 1 x Pro-X top mount drag link

Bump stops come with every shock package. On the base system they are not included, but they can be bought separately (RK07123).

Why this system

  • Eight adjustable control arms let you tune caster and pinion angle at both ends
  • Service-free Adventure Series joints, 70 degrees of total misalignment
  • Triple-rate coils at all four corners, which Rock Krawler says ride better than the OEM linear-rate springs
  • Correction pads reduce the spring bow in the factory setup, and front and rear track bar geometry corrections let you center the axles
  • Improved rear roll center and a level stance on all four corners
  • Can be upgraded to a Rock Krawler long-arm system later

Pick your package

  • Base System (No Shocks): the full kit with no shocks, for builds where you already have shocks picked out.
  • Stage 1 (RRD 2.25 Inch IFP Shocks): Rock Krawler's in-house shock with a 2.25 inch O.D. hard anodized fluted aluminum body, a 3/4 inch 17-4 PH stainless steel hard chrome plated shaft, a billet aluminum valve circuit, dual DU shaft bearings and double redundant sealing. It is serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable.
  • Stage 2 (RRD 2.25 Inch FCD Shocks): Everything in the IFP shock plus a Fast Compression Damping (FCD) adjuster, up to a 30 percent increase, so you can fine-tune ride quality and handling.

Rock Krawler's generic shock lengths for this system are front 18.5 inch collapsed and 29 inch maximum extended and rear 17.3 inch collapsed and 28.31 inch maximum extended, which is handy if you plan to shop for your own shocks.

Fitment and what else you'll need

Fits 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JKU 4-Door models. Rock Krawler lists it for Sport, Sahara, Willys and Rubicon trim levels.

  • If building with a spare delete we recommend dropping 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
  • If building an overland or heavily up-fitted build in the back, we recommend upsizing 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
  • We recommend a new front driveshaft if you plan to off-road routinely. (Adam's Driveshafts, Tom Woods, J.E. Reel)

Tire guidance from Rock Krawler: 33 or 35 inch tall tires with full OEM fenders, 37 inch tall tires with flat fenders. They typically recommend 4.5 inch of backspacing with 33 and 35 inch tires and 3.5 inch with 37 inch tires.

Rock Krawler backs this system with lifetime warranty coverage.
