Package

The 2.5 inch Ultimate Adventure is a complete, bolt-in mid-arm system for the Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door. It runs four non-adjustable lower control arms and four fully adjustable upper arms, all fitted with Rock Krawler's service-free Adventure Series joints, for 70 degrees of total misalignment. That is a big drop in the bind you get from a factory JK control arm, with no joints to grease.

Rock Krawler bases its lift heights on Rubicon models in a standard build, meaning a front bumper and winch, a rear bumper and a full-size spare.

What's in the kit

  • 4 x triple rate coil springs
  • 2 x front lower control arms
  • 2 x rear lower control arms
  • 2 x front upper control arms
  • 2 x rear upper control arms
  • 1 x adjustable front track bar
  • 2 x rear spring pads
  • 2 x set length front sway bar links
  • 1 x bolt-on rear track bar relocation bracket
  • 1 x front and rear brake line drop brackets

Bump stops come with every shock package. On the base system they are not included, but they can be bought separately (RK07123).

Why this system

  • Four fully adjustable upper arms plus four lower arms, all on service-free Adventure Series joints
  • 70 degrees of total misalignment, so the factory-style bind is greatly reduced
  • Triple-rate front and rear coils for on-road comfort Rock Krawler says beats the OEM springs
  • Correction pads reduce spring bow, and front and rear track bar geometry corrections center the axles
  • Improved rear roll center and vehicle lean correction
  • Can be upgraded to a Rock Krawler long-arm system later

Pick your package

  • Base System (No Shocks): the full kit with no shocks, for builds where you already have shocks picked out.
  • Bilstein 5100 Shocks: A maintenance-free shock that Rock Krawler describes as a great pairing with its multi-rate coil springs.
  • Stage 1 (RRD 2.25 Inch IFP Shocks): Rock Krawler's in-house shock with a 2.25 inch O.D. hard anodized fluted aluminum body, a 3/4 inch 17-4 PH stainless steel hard chrome plated shaft, a billet aluminum valve circuit, dual DU shaft bearings and double redundant sealing. It is serviceable, rebuildable and revalveable.
  • Stage 2 (RRD 2.25 Inch FCD Shocks): Everything in the IFP shock plus a Fast Compression Damping (FCD) adjuster, up to a 30 percent increase, so you can fine-tune ride quality and handling.

Rock Krawler's generic shock lengths for this system are front 16.5 inch collapsed and 26 inch maximum extended and rear 15.3 inch collapsed and 24.31 inch maximum extended, which is handy if you plan to shop for your own shocks.

Fitment and what else you'll need

Fits 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door models. Rock Krawler lists it for Sport, Sahara, Willys and Rubicon trim levels.

  • If building with a spare delete we recommend dropping 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
  • If building an overland or heavily up-fitted build in the back, we recommend upsizing 1 inch in coil lift height for the rear.
  • We recommend a new front driveshaft if you plan to off-road routinely. (Adam's Driveshaft, Tom Woods, J.E. Reel)

Tire guidance from Rock Krawler: 33 or 35 inch tall tires with full OEM fenders, 37 inch tall tires with flat fenders. They typically recommend 4.5 inch of backspacing with 33 and 35 inch tires and 3.5 inch with 37 inch tires.

Rock Krawler backs this system with lifetime warranty coverage.
