The PRP 4.3 Harness Latch & Link is a 4-point restraint built for daily off-road driving, using 3" shoulder belts and 3" lap belts, wider than PRP's 4.2 version of this same harness, for more load-spreading surface area across your shoulders and hips. It uses the same proven Latch & Link buckle system found across PRP's harness line, a flip-latch design that's simple to operate one-handed and easy to feel for when you need it.
Unlike PRP's harnesses with removable, swap-out shoulder pads, this model uses sewn-in shoulder pads that are permanently fixed to the belt, so they won't shift, bunch, or work loose over a long trail day the way a slip-on pad occasionally can. A sternum strap pulls the shoulder belts together across your chest, keeping them aligned and centered instead of drifting toward your neck or shoulders under load, and built-in hook-and-loop keepers manage the excess webbing tail so it isn't flapping around the cabin or catching on gear.
Shoulder length adjustments run through PRP's upgraded EZ adjusters for smooth, fast one-hand changes, and both the shoulder and lap belts use 3-bar adjusters, a simple, proven mechanism for taking up slack. PRP builds this harness with skeletonized steel hardware throughout, cutting unnecessary weight without giving up the strength of solid steel, and the whole harness is built around all-weather performance, meaning it's meant to keep functioning after real exposure to dirt, dust, mud, and water rather than just looking the part in a showroom.
For mounting, this harness uses bolt-in tabs as the standard configuration and is wrap-around compatible, so it works whether you're bolting to a fixed point on your seat or frame or wrapping the shoulder belts around a roll cage bar.
It's worth noting this harness isn't SFI rated — PRP reserves that certification for its 5-point harnesses and specific SFI 16.1 5-point models. If you're racing in a sanctioned event that requires a certified restraint, you'll want one of PRP's SFI 16.1 5-point harnesses instead. For a daily-driven UTV, off-road truck, or trail rig where you want a real upgrade over factory belts without needing sanctioning-body paperwork, this 4-point Latch & Link is built for exactly that role.
If you'd rather have narrower, more traditional 2" shoulder and lap belts with the same buckle system and sewn-in pad construction, PRP's 4.2 Harness Latch & Link covers that configuration at the same price point — the choice between the two mostly comes down to whether you prefer the wider 3" webbing or a narrower, lower-profile belt.
If you're deciding between a 4-point and 5-point harness in general, the difference comes down to the 5th-point anti-submarine strap: a 4-point harness like this one restrains your shoulders and hips, while a 5-point adds a strap between your legs to stop you from sliding under the lap belt in a hard frontal impact. For moderate trail driving and daily off-road use, 4-point coverage is a significant step up from stock belts.
