This PRP 5.2 Latch & Link harness adds a removable 5th-point anti-submarine strap and oversized red pull tabs for fast adjustments, with removable HANS-compatible shoulder pads for all-day comfort. SFI 16.1 certified.

The PRP 5.2 Harness Latch & Link with Removable Pads (SFI 16.1) is a 5-point racing harness built around PRP's Latch & Link buckle, a flip-latch design that's simple to operate one-handed and easy to feel for in a rushed exit. It uses 2" shoulder belts and 2" lap belts, plus a removable 5th-point anti-submarine strap that runs between your legs and has its own adjuster, so you get true 5-point restraint without the strap being a permanent fixture if your seat or cage setup changes down the road.

This is PRP's standard-adjustment 5.2 Latch & Link model, meaning the lap belts tighten with a conventional pull-up adjuster rather than the ratcheting mechanism PRP offers on its 5.2 Latch & Link Ratchet harness. What PRP did here is optimize where that adjuster sits, positioning the lap belt adjusters close to the Latch & Link buckle itself so you're not reaching down the belt to find slack — the adjustment point is right where your hand already is when you're buckling in. Both the shoulder and lap belts use oversized red pull tabs, which make it fast to spot and grab the release points, whether you're adjusting fit before a run or getting out in a hurry after one.

The shoulder belts use PRP's upgraded EZ adjusters for quick one-hand length changes, and the shoulder pads are removable and HANS-compatible, so you can run them with a HANS or similar neck restraint device, or leave them in place for everyday comfort on longer off-road drives where you're not wearing a neck restraint. Hook-and-loop strap keepers hold the extra webbing tail out of the way instead of letting it flap loose, and built-in loops let you route a communication line or hydration tube along the harness instead of taping or zip-tying it on afterward.

On the mounting side, this harness uses bolt-in tabs as the standard configuration and is wrap-around compatible with 3-bar slides, so it works whether you're bolting straight to a mounting point or wrapping the shoulder belts around a roll cage bar. It carries SFI 16.1 certification, the standard most off-road racing sanctioning bodies and many track day and closed-course events require for a 5-point harness, so it's built and tested to a defined spec rather than just marketed toward racers.

If you're deciding between PRP's 5.2 Latch & Link options, this Removable Pads model is the more affordable, simpler-adjustment version. Step up to the 5.2 Latch & Link Ratchet if you want the integrated ratcheting lap belt system for finer, more repeatable tension control, or look at PRP's Cam-Lock line if you'd rather have a twist-and-thumb-release buckle with CleanLatch dust sealing instead of the flip-latch Latch & Link mechanism. For most street-driven off-road builds and casual track days, the pull-up adjustment on this harness is plenty precise, and the lower price reflects the simpler mechanism, not a cut corner on certification or build quality.

What's included: two lap belts with red pull tabs and Latch & Link-adjacent adjusters, two shoulder belts with EZ adjusters and red pull tabs, removable HANS-compatible shoulder pads, and a removable adjustable 5th-point strap.

Key specs at a glance: 5-point harness, Latch & Link buckle, 2" shoulder and lap belts, pull-up style adjustment, removable 5th-point strap, SFI 16.1 certified, bolt-in tabs with 3-bar wrap-around compatibility.
