The PRP 5.2 Cam-Lock Harness (SFI 16.1) is a 5-point racing harness built around PRP's Cam-Lock buckle, a twist-and-thumb-release design you open with a quarter turn rather than flipping a latch open like PRP's Latch & Link harnesses. The buckle is built with PRP's CleanLatch Technology, dust-resistant seals around the locking mechanism that keep dirt, mud, and grit from working their way in and fouling the release — a real consideration on anything that sees actual off-road use rather than just a paved track. The harness also uses PRP's V-Shape Technology, a belt geometry that spreads impact load more evenly across your shoulders and hips instead of concentrating it at a single point.

This is PRP's standard-adjustment 5.2 Cam-Lock model, so the lap belts use a conventional pull-up adjuster rather than the integrated ratcheting system PRP offers on its Cam-Lock Ratchet variant. What you do get is a set of upgrades aimed at making that adjustment fast and tactile: low-profile shoulder adjusters with oversized red pull tabs, and matching red pull tabs on the lap belts, so the release and adjustment points are easy to find by feel, not just by sight. The 5th-point strap is removable and adjustable, giving you true anti-submarine protection when you want it and the option to remove it if your seat or cage setup doesn't call for a full 5-point layout.

The shoulder pads are removable and HANS-compatible, so you can pull them for a HANS or similar neck restraint device, or leave them in for everyday comfort on longer off-road drives where you're not running one. PRP built this harness with lightweight black hardware throughout to keep it from adding unnecessary weight, and included a loop for routing a communication line or hydration tube instead of leaving you to improvise a mounting point. Hook-and-loop strap keepers hold the excess webbing tail in place so it's not flapping or catching on something mid-run.

For mounting, this harness uses bolt-in tabs paired with 3-bar slides for wrap-around compatibility, so it works whether you're bolting to a fixed point or wrapping the shoulder belts around a cage bar; clip-in tabs are available separately from PRP if your vehicle uses eyebolts instead. It's SFI 16.1 certified, the specification most off-road racing sanctioning bodies and many closed-course and track day events require for a 5-point restraint, so it's tested and rated to a defined standard rather than just labeled for racing.

If you're comparing PRP's 5.2 options, this Cam-Lock model is the twist-buckle counterpart to the 5.2 Latch & Link harness — same belt widths and certification, different buckle action, so it mostly comes down to whether you prefer a twist-release or a flip-latch. Step up to the 5.2 Cam-Lock with Ratchet Straps if you want an integrated ratcheting lap belt for finer, more repeatable tension instead of the standard pull-up adjustment on this model.

What's included: two lap belts with red pull tabs, two shoulder belts with low-profile red-tab adjusters, removable HANS-compatible shoulder pads, a removable adjustable 5th-point strap, and lightweight black mounting hardware.

Key specs at a glance: 5-point harness, Cam-Lock buckle with CleanLatch Technology, V-Shape Technology, 2" shoulder and lap belts, pull-up style adjustment, removable HANS-compatible pads, SFI 16.1 certified.
